Phoenix Spring Training Trip

Our spring vacation to Phoenix to visit with family unfortunately involved a bout of sickness but, even that can't hold North Idahoans back from having a good time in sunny 75 degree weather while watching baseball games with family in March!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Here is our twist on St. Patty's Day-instead of partaking in all of the gastronomical nightmares like corned beef, cabbage and too much beer...we have taught our girl about proper hygiene!!! She just loves to chew on her toothbrush.
Note the new headband in her hair-thanks Cousin Bre and Tori! She loves to wear them in her hair and the bonus is that her wicked hair stays out of her face :-)

Old McDonald Had a Farm...

One of my new birthday books is a finger puppet of Old McDonald. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

This is one of my silly faces I make these days...I scrunch my nose up kind of like a bunny rabbit....and on his farm he had a COW, eei eei ohhhh

...with a quack, quack here and a quack quack there...

Shootin' Hoops

So it looks like Karsten thinks that her puppy can fit thru the basket!
Thanks for my birthday present Aunt Kimi and Uncle Craig.

Thanks Aunt Emmy!

Dear Aunt Emmy,
Thank you so much for my pink Country Cowgirl puppet. I LOVE HER! She has the funniest voices and says crazy things to me. She gives me lots of kisses, makes me laugh and sometimes even eats my fingers when I try and touch her tongue. We are great friends-
Love and miss you from half a world away,
Karsten

A Big Personality

As an aunt or uncle(or as a grandparent as we have seen in the last couple weeks) it is easy to catch yourself laughing at something somebody else's child was doing that required some form of discipline from a parent. But as parents we are learning(especially Chris as he loves to laugh at other kid's(mostly his nephew Tommy's) antics) to keep a straight face when discipline is necessary. Table manners will be something Karsten will learn and be expected to follow but, at a year old, with her smile and giggle, it was hard not to laugh at her the other night when she decided to put her feet on the table with a huge grin and then laugh at us when we were eating dinner.
