PEE PEE in the POTTY!
Oh, yeah! You know what that is-PEE PEE in the POTTY! YEAH :-) Karsten is getting there. We have had her potty sitting in the bathroom since her birthday and she has been pretty good at playing with it, but not much success on it. That is until we heard the her say, "I go poop"! WOWWIE-way to make a set of parents drop everything and rip clothes and a diaper off! We just need to get the concept of #1 and #2 figured out now!

HAPPY EASTER!!!
Godparents are GREAT!
Karsten's Godparents are wonderful! They send her gifts on her baptism birthday, Christmas and Easter too. On such a special day as today, the gifts were simply AWESOME! Auntie Lizz and Uncle Blake, Karsten is so blessed to have you be a guiding light in her spiritual walk and faith building. You would love to hear in person her singing, "Jesus love me, this I know..."! Thanks and we love you!

More Fun with the Cousins!
Karsten was able to spend even more time with her cousins today as they came over for the evening to play while Aunt T and Uncle Rich had a date night. Since the weather was still so nice, we played outside for quite a while. The sidewalk chalk was a hit. Even tracing each other's bodies and the dog too-poor Hannah was covered in pink and orange chalk-what a good sport!

Special Girls Day!
Today was a special day for Karsten and Mommy-we both had the day off of school and work-HOORAY! We decided to head into Spokane with Gaga and go to the children's museum, Mobius. What a blast we had!
There was everything a child could want to do: dress up, play music, bounce around with foam blocks, play house in an authentic Thai hut, explore water, sand, conveyor belts, painting, coloring, drawing, ride bikes, trikes, play doctor, policeman, fireman...a blur of an hour and a half, but enough for complete sensory overload, yummy lunch and then a nap in the car on the way home. What a day, fhew!

New Discoveries Every Day!
The latest discovery is ECHOES! Not quite sure how Karsten discovered that things echo, but all of a sudden she will start trying out her voice in different sounds to see if she can find an echo. Her favorite is the great room at home as she gets some great sounds off of the vaulted ceilings. And the stairwell at Mommy's office had huge echo sounds too.
If you ever wonder why she walks around saying, "EEEEE, OOOHHH, AAAAHHHH, YYYOOUUU", she is trying out her new echo skills!

HELL has frozen over!
Please note the date...April 21st and it is SNOWING. I am not talking brief bits here and there, but HUGE, goose feather flakes. This is no joke at 9:25pm and the neighbors and I were on the front porch not believing our eyes. This is a really bad joke, Ol' Man Weather...and I am not finding ANY humor in it. And neither are my daffodils, if you really want to know.

The Latest Antics
Soooo, we have a climber on our hands! It does not matter if it is the toy popper thingy, the chair, the rocking chair (which she balances very well on), a toy, ANYTHING that Karsten can get her hands on she will stand on it. And why, you ask is she standing on something?
Her newest favorite thing-turning on the old school boom box with a 3 disc cd changer! She knows that her Mickey Mouse, Pooh and children's Jesus music cds are in there. So every now and then...which is becoming more often, you about want to jump out of your skin when all of a sudden "Mickey Mouse Club" goes blaring thru the house! You betcha-we have a music lover!

Lost Without George
Karsten's new favorite is Curious George. She gets to watch him for 30 minutes every morning on PBS while mommy does her hair and cleans her face, etc.
She has her Curious George Christmas book that she LOVES. We have to read it every day so daddy and mommy switch up the book by making up new stories each time we read it...let your imagination go wild! :-)
Well, as of yesterday George (the Christmas book) had gone missing for about 2 days. Karsten was HEARTBROKEN! She was wandering around her room, the house and looking over every book in her bookcase saying "George, where are you?" She even offered up that he may be hiding in the living room, her playroom, the car...but alas, nothing.
Last night we scrubbed the entire bookcase full of about 100 books-I kid you not! And voila-there was George-hiding and smooshed between the back of the bookcase and the wall. You would not believe the sound of Karsten's HOORAY! and celebration dance when she finally got her beloved George back in her hands.
And then we used our imaginations and read George all over again...

Dyeing for Easter Eggs!
Today we dyed Easter eggs with the cousins. It was so much fun, but very tiring too. Karsten only lasted about 2 eggs, not counting the first one that she squished in her hand...and then ate when she discovered it was a hard boiled egg inside! Her new discoveries are just hysterical!
