Go Padres!!!

Thanks Gramps and Lala for my new Padres t-shirt. I wear it proudly like all my older cousins have! Daddy got me dressed to go to cousin Richie's baseball game this morning, but I fell asleep at home and missed the whole game...bummer! Love, Karsten

Cool Chick!

Karsten was posing as a cool chick and getting ready for our trip to Hawaii! It will be the last hurrah before mommy heads back to work. We are very excited and cannot wait to show Karsten the beach. The shades are courtesy of her Gaga (Britt's mom).

Growing like a weed

Karsten had her 2 month checkup today and passed with flying colors. She weighs 11 lbs. 12 oz. and is 24" long. As far as the charts go, she is at the top end for height and weight. Her head at 15" is right in line. She was a champ with her shots and thankfully daddy was there to assist as mommy could not watch...NOT FUN!

At home we are enjoying some good weather for today and tomorrow...we take what we can get! It is sunny and in the mid 60s so that has been nice. We are looking forward to having Karsten outside more and more as the weather gets nicer. She loves to be outside which daddy and mommy love.

Cousin Sarah came to visit after school and was so excited to feed Karsten. Looks like she is quite the natural at this mothering thing...she has great form! Her cousins just love to have time with her.

Fun time outside

There has been gorgeous weather off and on for the past few weeks that we are enjoying very much. We have been taking Karsten outside as much as possible and she LOVES it! She was having a good time feeling the the warmth from the sun (in the shade, of course) and the gentle breeze while on her activity mat. Hannah had to go check things out to make sure that her baby was ok. She has become very protective of her and even gives her kisses on her head and sneaks them on her face every now and then!

Activity Mat

We put together a new activity mat for Karsten. This morning was the first time that she was really able to play with it. She was talking to Mr. Octopus and looking from side to side from where the music was and the lights were flashing. She was having a great time!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Today we had a good day. We went to church with Grandma and Grandpa and then brunch with Gaga and Papa, Aunt Traci and Uncle Rich and my cousins. I had on a special outfit that Auntie Jen and Gaga picked out for me. I also had a very special new "Baby's First Easter" bib from my "Grandma" Carol in Philadelphia (Mommy's old boss). Gramps and Lala

Gramps and Lala came to spend Spring Break with us. They came for Karsten's baptism and stayed for a week. It was the first time that all 5 of their grandkids were together so it was a very special time. It was wonderful to have them, but the time went too quickly as usual. We are excited as they are coming back to visit in June...YIPPEE!

Thanks Auntie Jen and Uncle John

Auntie Jen and Uncle John were able to visit for Spring Break also. We had a quick time with Uncle John but had time to thank him for the cute onesie that he and Auntie picked out for Karsten. It had a picture of the fish, her astrological sign and then said what a Pisces is. "I'm a dreamer and a visionary. I will be successful, love to daydream, modest, sympathetic, clever." Look out, mommy is outnumbered as Karsten, Daddy and Hannah dog are ALL Pisces!

Photo shoot

Auntie Jen had a little photo shoot with Karsten while she was here. We gave her a bath and then put her in front of the heater. Needless to say she ended up with some "flock of seagulls" hair in one of the pictures! We sometimes cannot believe that she is really our baby.
