Playing with Lala

Gramps and Lala have come to visit for two weeks! Lala took some time to snuggle with Karsten during dinner. We have been enjoying lots of family time during the long summer evenings.

Today we had a great day celebrating Father's Day with grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins. We had breakfast at home with Grandma and Grandpa Towery
and then we had a BBQ with Gramps, Lala, Gaga and Papa.

We took Karsten out on her first boat ride last night. Our next door neighbors invited us out with them for an evening cruise. It was so nice and relaxing...so much so that little missy decided to take a little snoozer! She didn't mind the life vest much and didn't make a peep the whole time we were on the boat. What a fun time, we can't wait for the next fun ride!

Karsten loves her Bumbo seat! She watched her "God Made Animals" video for 30 minutes while mommy made dinner. She is most often very content in her seat and even lets mommy put wiggies in her hair in the morning. She is such a big girl these days :-)

Karsten is now ready for her Baby Einstein entertainer. She no longer like the activity mat and being on her back...she needs more ACTION! We have it set on the lowest setting and her feet just touch. She sometimes gets a bounce in here and there and just loves all of the sights and sounds. It is amazing how fast they grow up!

Grandma and Grandpa came over and Karsten wanted to show them her new toy. She had her eyes locked on Mr. Froggy!

Crazy hairdoo!

This morning Karsten hung out on the front porch while daddy mowed the grass and mommy tended to her flowers. She just talked to her fish and starfish and enjoyed being outside.

First day of "school"

Well today was Mommy's first day back at work and Karsten's first day of "school". It makes it easier for Mommy if we call it school, don't know why, but it does! Karsten is enrolled at our church and it is a wonderful place only 6 blocks from my office. Mommy had a hard time dropping her off this morning but thankfully her Gaga stayed with her for a few hours to help her get a bit more acquainted. She looks so BIG in the pictures. I cannot believe how fast 3 months can FLY by!

We have been talking lots of walks to the lake with the dog while the weather is nice. It has been SO BEAUTIFUL that we just want to be outside after a long winter. Karsten loves to be outside and just looks all around which makes it nice to have her out quite a bit. She is just a happy baby.

I can sit up!!!

BIG GIRL! I can finally fit into my 3 month onesies that all of my family made for me at my Bakersfield baby shower. Thanks Great Aunts Leslie and Derrilyn.

Karsten's first time in the Bumbo seat. We cannot believe that she can sit up on her own in it already! Her legs, feet, hands and arms are constantly moving these days.

The famous Hula Pie at Leilani's on Ka'anapali Beach in Maui. And yes, it tastes even better than it looks (oreo crust, macadamia nut ice cream, thick fudge, whipped cream and macadamia nuts on top...YUMMY!!!
